{"id":890,"date":"2014-03-26T11:18:53","date_gmt":"2014-03-26T15:18:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/?p=890"},"modified":"2020-01-24T17:08:41","modified_gmt":"2020-01-24T22:08:41","slug":"indiana-tech-expands-roster-of-3-year-bachelors-degrees","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/news\/indiana-tech-expands-roster-of-3-year-bachelors-degrees\/","title":{"rendered":"Indiana Tech Expands Roster of 3-Year Bachelor\u2019s Degrees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Fort Wayne, Ind. \u2014\u00a0<\/strong>Indiana Tech has expanded the scope of degrees available through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/academics.indianatech.edu\/pathways\/fast-track-degrees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">3 to Degree<\/a>\u00a0program that the university announced in November. In addition to the original accounting and management degrees, the 3 to Degree offerings now also include majors in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communication<\/li>\n<li>Criminal justice<\/li>\n<li>Elementary education<\/li>\n<li>Physical education<\/li>\n<li>Pre-law<\/li>\n<li>Psychology<\/li>\n<li>Recreation and leisure studies<\/li>\n<li>Recreation therapy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 3 to Degree programs are available to undergraduate students enrolling at Indiana Tech\u2019s main campus in Fort Wayne starting in the fall of 2014. Unique features of 3 to Degree include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each is a true 3-year program. Students will have a pathway to complete their bachelor\u2019s over the course of six semesters.<\/li>\n<li>Unlike similar programs at other universities, students are not required to enter with college credits already on their transcripts.<\/li>\n<li>Students will save at least 25% on their college costs by completing their degrees faster under the new fast track programs. They also will benefit financially by being able to start their career earnings sooner.<\/li>\n<li>The programs reflect Indiana Tech\u2019s emphasis on career preparation, with course credits available through approved summer internships in addition to classroom study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students taking part must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to continue in each program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-890","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.2 -
