{"id":157100,"date":"2024-04-26T14:30:16","date_gmt":"2024-04-26T18:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/?post_type=news&#038;p=157100"},"modified":"2024-04-29T08:40:43","modified_gmt":"2024-04-29T12:40:43","slug":"state-organization-recognizes-givan-for-her-outstanding-leadership-at-tech","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/news\/state-organization-recognizes-givan-for-her-outstanding-leadership-at-tech\/","title":{"rendered":"State organization recognizes Givan for her outstanding leadership at Tech"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Indiana Tech Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Belonging Lisa Givan was recognized as a Distinguished Woman Leader by the <a href=\"https:\/\/inacenetwork.org\/\">American Council on Education Women\u2019s Indiana Network<\/a> (ACE-WIN).<\/p>\n<p>This award represents women who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advocate for women and have pioneered change.<\/li>\n<li>Champion the advancement of women in leadership roles and have been a voice for all women in higher education.<\/li>\n<li>Are celebrated for providing outstanding leadership to women in their institutions, field of expertise and\/or in society at large.<\/li>\n<li>Are well-known for inspirational, inclusive, innovative work on behalf of women that goes beyond the scope of their formal job descriptions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;Lisa has brought so many positive changes to our university over the past six years, and I am so happy she is being recognized for her work,&#8221; said Indiana Tech President Karl. W. Einolf, Ph.D. &#8220;She is very deserving of this honor.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">The ACE Women&#8217;s Network is a national system of networks within each state, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, with the goal of advancing and supporting women in higher education. Each state network is led by a state chair who works with institutional representatives and at least one presidential sponsor to develop programs that identify, develop, encourage, advance, link and support (IDEALS) women in higher education careers within that state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"margin-bottom-0\">The mission of the Indiana&#8217;s ACE network is to inspire, develop and support women leaders to transform higher education.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-157100","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.2 -
