Indiana Tech will mark the occasion of its official inauguration of Dr. Karl W. Einolf as the university\u2019s ninth president with a week of community service and campus events starting Monday, Nov. 27. Dr. Einolf, who began his tenure at Indiana Tech on July 1, will be officially inaugurated on Saturday, Dec. 2.<\/p>\n
Indiana Tech students, faculty & staff, and alumni will take part in community service projects including:<\/p>\n
In addition to community service projects, the week will also include Indiana Tech\u2019s Distinguished Faculty Lecture. Professor Jeff Walls will present on \u201cTalent Attraction & Retention in the 21st Century:\u00a0 Critical HR Challenges & Opportunities\u201d on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. in the theater in the Snyder Academic Center on the Indiana Tech campus. The presentation will feature a panel discussion of area human resources professionals who are Indiana Tech alums, including Baily Beiswanger, Human Resources Manager at Micropulse; Ashley Benvenuti, Human Resources Manager at Superior Aluminum Alloys; Mike Torres, Vice President of Compensation and Benefits at STAR Bank; and Morgan York, Human Resources Coordinator at SIRVA Worldwide Relocation and Moving. The presentation is free and open to members of the public and area business and HR professionals.<\/p>\n
The week\u2019s events will culminate on Saturday, Dec. 2 with the official inauguration of Dr. Einolf in a ceremony at 2:00pm in the Schaefer Center on Indiana Tech\u2019s main campus. Attendees will include Indiana Tech students, members of the university\u2019s Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, area business and community leaders, elected officials, and representatives from colleges and universities from around the area and the Midwest.<\/p>\n
Jennifer Ross, chair of the Indiana Tech inauguration committee, commented, \u201cThe inauguration of our new president is really about our entire community, both here at Indiana Tech and around the region. From the start of planning, all of us here have worked to make this a celebration of community, and an opportunity for students, faculty and staff, alumni and the public to give back to those in need.
